Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we’ve lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive. If you have recently lost someone you love, we hope that you will accept our condolences.

Noah Adam Pisano (affectionately known as “Pete”), a longtime resident of Prince Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2026, at the age of 84. A devoted husband, loving father, dedicated friend, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, Pete will be remembered for his deep love of family and the joyful humor he shared with everyone he met. The family is forever grateful for the compassionate care he received in his final weeks from Chesapeake Hospice — and for the many laughs he shared with his nurses, whom he kept smiling with jokes, his playful sense of humor, and his ever-present smile.
Pete was born in Filbert, West Virginia, to Pete and Helen Pisano and raised in nearby Gary, both small coal-mining towns in McDowell County. The second of four children, he played football at Gary High School and graduated in 1959 with a welding certification. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany and France as a driver, where he also had the special opportunity to meet relatives in Italy. After completing his service, Pete began his welding career with Northern Virginia Steel before joining Local 602 Steamfitters Union, where he proudly celebrated 55 years of membership in 2025.
Living in the Washington, D.C. area, Pete cherished weekends spent reconnecting with friends from West Virginia. In 1966, he married Linda Jayne Roberts. Pete was the proud father of two children and greatly enjoyed sharing sports and outdoor adventures with them — football, baseball, cheerleading, shooting, motorbikes, go-carts, and attending Washington Redskins and Capitals games. He loved eating blue crabs and seafood of any kind. A true car enthusiast, he proudly owned a Corvette and a Pontiac convertible. He took pride in contributing to several notable projects throughout the region, including Fair Oaks Mall’s JCPenney, the Washington Convention Center, and even the White House.
In 1980, Pete met Barbara Denton while working at Calvert Cliffs and settled in Prince Frederick, Maryland. Pete and Barbara enjoyed dirt track racing, regional festivals, and car shows in Washington, D.C. and Ocean City. Pete’s passion for cars also took him on several trips to the Daytona 500 with friends. He loved fishing and hunting locally and never missed an opportunity to cheer on West Virginia University football, remaining fiercely proud of his West Virginia heritage. Each August, for several years, he returned home to Gary for the #9 Mountain Wilderness Hometown reunion, where families from the area gathered to share childhood memories, catch up on current happenings, and enjoy the wonderful Italian and Hungarian cooking. He valued good character in others and urrounded himself with outstanding friends and companions.
Pete was also a lifelong Harley-Davidson fan, owning several motorcycles over the years and collecting T-shirts wherever he went. His cherished Harley watch remained on his wrist until just weeks ago. A talented cook, Pete was especially known for his Italian and Polish dishes passed down through family tradition, with Sunday spaghetti dinners becoming a beloved staple. He enjoyed reading The Washington Post daily and relaxing in later years with classic westerns like Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, and Laramie.
Pete is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Pisano; his children, Tina Dodge and Adam Pisano, Jr; and his stepson, Todd Denton. He is also survived by his four step-grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Ryan, and Rachel Denton, and one step great-grandchild, Roman Denton; and his sisters, Theresa Kattau of Laurel, NY, and Yvonne Knopple of Woodbridge, VA.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Pisano Lee; his stepson, Chris Edward Denton; and his parents.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 14, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral Mass at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Owings, Maryland at 11:00, Pete will be remembered not only for his passions and devotion to family, but for his playful sense of humor and kindness. He enjoyed making others laugh and bringing smiles to those around him — from family and friends to the nurses who cared for him in his final weeks — leaving behind a legacy of joy and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Nelly Antonia Richards Campero, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by courage, generosity, and unwavering love for her family, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026. She will truly be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Nelly’s beautiful story began when she was born on June 13, 1929, in La Paz, Bolivia, to parents John Joseph Richards and Matilde Alvarez. After growing up in Bolivia and being a champion runner, winning countless medals and setting records for Bolivia then going through nurse’s training, Nelly embarked on a remarkable journey at a young age. In 1952, with just $13 in her pocket, an English dictionary and a nursing scholarship, she emigrated to the United States alone on a voyage by bus, plane and ship. She traveled over the ocean and through the Panama Canal on an Italian Cruise Liner called Antonieto Uso di Mari, where she landed in Miami. Nelly studied nursing in New Jersey and after graduating as valedictorian, she later married the love of her life, Ricardo Miguel Campero in 1958, after he emigrated to the United States from Bolivia. Together they built a life filled with joy, shared passions and hard work to create the ‘American Dream” for their family.
Nelly dedicated her career to caring for others, retiring as a Registered Nurse with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Beyond her professional life, she served her community in meaningful ways, including as a Head Start teacher, helping underprivileged children prepare for elementary school, as a Hospice Volunteer and at their Church as a Eucharistic Minister.
Nelly and Ricardo raised their family in Knoxville, Iowa, where they formed lasting friendships and were active members of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Known for their vibrant spirit and love of dancing—especially traditional Bolivian dances—they delighted audiences by performing at local school events and other events in their community.
Nelly’s legacy of compassion extended far beyond her immediate family. She personally sponsored and assisted her five siblings, her mother and stepfather, her husband, and her brother-in-law in immigrating to the United States. Through her tireless efforts, more than 44 people either emigrated or were born in America as a result, including multiple doctors, attorneys, teachers, social workers, and other productive citizens whose successes trace back to Nelly’s journey and selfless support.
In 2019, Nelly and Ricardo moved to Maryland to live with their daughter, Mary, and her family. Where they enjoyed going for walks, and sharing their Bolivian culture with family and friends through dancing and cooking Bolivian food. In 2020 her beloved Ricardo went to heaven to be with our Lord and in 2022, as her dementia progressed, Nelly moved to Fenwick Landing Assisted Living Facility where she was loved and well cared for.
Nelly is preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph and Matilde Alvarez Richards; her sisters Betty Richards and Mary Osuji; her brother Willie Richards; her stepfather, Rafael Silvetti; and her beloved husband, Ricardo Miguel Campero.
Nelly is survived by her siblings: Dr. George Richards; Dr. Carlos Richards (Aida); Adela Leon (Jorge), two children Michael John Campero (Barbara) of Iowa City, Iowa, and Mary Campero Berkley (Bruce) of Owings, Maryland; and three adoring grandchildren: Gabriela Berkley, Grant Berkley, and Katie (Berkley) Johnson (Dallas); and two great-grandchildren: Harper Rose Johnson and soon to be born Hudson Grant Johnson.
Nelly’s life was a testament to living the “American Dream” and to resilience, family, and community. Her warmth, kindness, and enduring impact will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be greatly missed.

Thomas Rosnage, born June 30, 1948, to the late Ted Rosnage and Betty Johnson, passed away December 7, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Teresa “Butch” Dorsey; and his granddaughter, Jenna.
Tom was proud to have grown up in Kentland and New Carrollton, places where lifelong friendships were forged. His closest companions—Joe, Mike, and Donnie—became more like brothers. While many of their youthful adventures are better left untold, the memories they share remain a lasting testament to the deep and enduring impact they had on one another’s lives.
Tom cherished his childhood trips to West “by God” Virginia, where he spent time with his grandparents, aunts, and uncles, cousins and especially his Aunt Janice, with whom he made many treasured memories and loved as a second mom.
On January 28, 1967, Tom married his beloved wife, Paula. Their first meeting was as unusual as it was memorable: Paula was skateboarding when Tom accidentally struck her with his car. Despite being opposites in many ways, their bond proved that opposites truly attract. Their commitment to one another endured for nearly 59 years. Through life’s challenges and triumphs, their shared priority of family created a loving and supportive home for their children, Tommy and Wendy. Their home extended beyond blood, as they welcomed Earl into their family, demonstrating their belief that love alone defines kinship. Many others fondly recall feeling like honorary members of the Rosnage family, often finding themselves the good-natured targets of Tom’s humor and practical jokes.
Tom’s greatest joy came from being a grandfather, affectionately known as “Pop.” He was a constant presence on sidelines and in bleachers, always the loudest and most enthusiastic supporter. He rarely missed an event and took great pride in celebrating the accomplishments of his grandchildren, consistently reminding others of how exceptional they were. His unwavering support will remain a cherished part of their lives.
Tom devoted much of his life to community service. He coached at the New Carrollton Boys and Girls Club before moving his family to Calvert County in 1982. There, he played a significant role in growing the Prince Frederick Eagles organization, serving as a football coach as well as the County Football Commissioner where he also helped establish the first youth cheerleading competition in the county. Tom was also a decorated and dedicated member of the Calvert County Lions Club, where he served multiple terms as President. His leadership, generosity, and service to others defined his contributions and reflected his character.
Later in life, Tom took great joy in portraying Santa Claus—a role that suited him perfectly. He loved experiencing Christmas through the eyes of children and believed deeply in the joy, wonder, and kindness that the season inspires.
Tom held various positions throughout his career, spending decades as the Production Manager for Suburban Laminating. In his later years, he found a calling as a long-term substitute teacher at Plum Point Middle School. He often shared that he wished he had started in education earlier, as he treasured the opportunity to support and inspire students.
He faithfully served his church community in many roles, including President of the Men’s Club, Church Trustee, and beloved biblical storyteller at Huntingtown United Methodist Church. Tom was a dedicated Christian whose deep and abiding faith guided every aspect of his life.
Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, Paula; his son Tommy and daughter-in-law Karen; his daughter Wendy and son-in-law Steve; his grandchildren Tori (Patrick), Hannah (Chad), Jack (Marybeth), and Jessica (EJ); his bonus son Earl (Sharon).
Tom will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. His legacy of love, service, humor, and dedication to others will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that people bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots allowing him to continue in his Santa to the viewing and service. Toys can also be dropped off to Huntingtown Methodist Church this week in his honor by anyone who will not be able to attend. Monetary donations can be made to Calvert County Lions Club and can be sent to PO Box 214 Prince Frederick , MD 20678. Norman Russell Manifold passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at his home in Deale, Maryland. He was born on November 26th, 1935, in Deale, where he was a lifelong resident except for a brief sojourn in Shady Side, MD.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary E. Chaney and James Donald Manifold Sr., by his Stepfather, Stanley Martin Olson, and Half-Sister, Anna L. Olson.
He is survived by his wife, Janet L. Manifold (nee Phipps); they were married on November 23, 1963. His children are Brian R. Manifold of Chesapeake Beach, MD; Kelly D. Gates of West River, MD; Janna M. Manifold and her husband John Hupfl of Deale, MD; and Amy M. Johnson and her husband Keith Johnson of Deale, MD. His grandchildren are Kailyn E. Bradshaw (Russell); Casey J. Manifold; Jesse W. Gates (Erica); Harvey E. Gates IV; Amber N. Johnson; Sara A. Johnson and Bryce A. Manifold; and his great grandchildren are Colsen S. Bradshaw and Jayce C. Cowert.
He also leaves behind his siblings, James Donald Manifold Jr. of Lothian, MD; Iva Berchdorf of Deale, MD and Edna Passero of Deale, MD, and his sister-in-law, Betty Jo (Jody) Evans and her husband, Lee of Bath, ME.
Norman graduated from Southern Senior High School in 1953. He worked at Johnson Lumber Company of Annapolis after graduation, then he was drafted into the US Army in 1958 and served in several Forts before being discharged in 1960. After being discharged from the Army, Norman worked with his stepfather (Martin) in his roofing and sheet metal business until he retired, and various other places. He worked on the water as a charter mate for John MacEwan on the boat, “Janet M”, until he was physically unable to continue.
He was never one to sit still, a true Jack of all Trades, the go-to guy when something needed fixing, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was not much of a talker but as they say, “when he did talk, you better listen”. A quiet man who rarely complained about anything, he did have a bit of a stubborn streak. But he enjoyed family time and just being with them. Norman loved anything on the water, especially fishing and crabbing. He enjoyed working with his hands, doing repairs to cars, or working on boats at the railway. A fan of the Baltimore Orioles baseball, he attended many games with his family at Memorial Stadium and later at Camden Yards and watched all televised games. He enjoyed watching old western TV shows and movies.
Norman Manifold will be greatly missed by his family and friends. If anyone personified the spirit of a place, Norman personified Deale, Maryland, and a down-to-earth way of life that takes one day at a time and makes the most of it.
