Russell Franklin “Chief” Gibson

Russell Franklin “Chief” Gibson, 86, of Lothian passed away January 28, 2018. He was born July 19, 1931 to Joseph A. and Bertha (Moreland) Gibson in Greenock (now Lothian), where he was also raised. Russell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for BG&E for forty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Catherine (Bon) Gibson. Russell is survived by step-children Cathy Brandt (Calvin) of Parkville, MD, Jim Murray (Betty Lagundo) of Edgewater, MD, Michael Murray of Santa Monica, CA, and Jerry Englar (Pat) of Ocala, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren Holly and Matt Haynes, Jamie and Laura Murray, Crystal Murry and Patrick Gonzales, Justin Murray, Lori and Brandt Rodey, Andrew and Sophia Englar and Shawn and Nicole Lagundo, sixteen great-grandchildren and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. It is with great sadness that we all say goodbye to Russell.
