Where Heritage and Life are celebrated.

Roberta Christine Schrom

October 6, 1952- May 7, 2021

Roberta Christine Schrom passed away May 07, 2021 at the Reston Hospital Center in Reston, Va. She was born in Cheverly, Maryland to William H. Schrom, Jr. and Ruth Elinor (Gruber) Schrom on October 06, 1952.

Raised first in Greenbelt and moved to Huntingtown, MD in 1962. Graduated from Calvert Sr. High in 1970 as valedictorian, attended and graduated from Western Maryland College in 1974 receiving the Cum Laude award.

She taught mathematics for a year, then pursued her career with several Department of Defense Contractors mainly as a Computer Flight Simulation Programmer in Maryland and later Virginia. She was offered a position with the Houston Space Flight Center which she declined in order to live closer to her family.

Roberta was a generous and gifted person always reaching out to others. She traveled to Europe on several occasions and throughout the United States. She loved the boardwalk at Chesapeake Beach. She was very talented in painting, sketching and drawing from a photographic memory. Roberta lived a full life and lived it her way. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church.  It is times like this we all need to reflect on family and friends and celebrate her life.

Roberta is survived by her sister Barbara Ann (Schrom) Brady and husband Elmer Frank Brady of Huntingtown, MD, niece Amy Lynn Adams of Salisbury MD, niece Jennifer Ann Brady of Huntingtown, MD, nephews Matthew Nicholas Macey and Joshua Joseph Macey both of Huntingtown, MD, Nathaniel Jacob Macey of Floyd, VA, and niece Sarah Ann Macey. She is also survived by a great nephew Lukas Lee Macey and soon to be great niece Nevaeh Rose Macey. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William H. Schrom III.

God bless the life and memory of Roberta C. Schrom.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Calvert Hospice.

Interment is private.

5/14/2021 Roberta was a dear friend and client and we had many great adventures and meetings. I have know her for many years and have the fondest memories of our adventures, especially “The Wheel”! She will be missed by all.

    Rest in peace Roberta!

From our first day on the campus at Western Maryland College, Roberta and I were friends and later, roommates. Her enthusiasm for having fun while studying and growing up was infectious to anyone who knew her. Here’s to the first member of third floor volleyball team’s Whiteford’s Wild Women to make it to heaven! We all love you!!!
