Raymond LeBark
April 22, 1936 – July 2, 2021
Raymond LeBark, age 85, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away July 2, 2021. He was born April 22, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to Louis Raymond and Marie (Springer) LeBark. Raymond was raised on a farm in Upper Marlboro. During his life he served as a Road Maintenance Worker with the Maryland State Highway Administration, a Custodian for the Calvert County School System, and a Building Service Worker at Calvert High School from 1967 to 1972. Raymond was a huge fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens but also a big supporter of Calvert High School sports, at one point he was given the title of “Calvert’s biggest fan” because he attended every Winter, Spring and Fall game. Even after suffering a back injury he continued to enjoy the games by driving to fields and parking his car as close as possible to watch. Raymond was a longtime member of the Calvert Optimists Club where he instituted a program called “Youth Appreciation Week” where ten Calvert youths were recognized, a program that still exists today. As an Optimist Raymond enjoyed working at their annual Christmas tree sales and handing out candy.
Raymond was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Prout and Marie Louise LeBark. He is survived by his cousins: from France, his cousin Raymond Le Barh, his wife, Marie Claire, daughter Catherine and her daughter Margaux, and son Christophe and his daughters Rafaelle and Julianne. From Germany, he is survived by his cousin’s wife, Ursula and his son Stephan Paule.
Christian Burial will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church Cemetery.

Raymond LeBark was my Step Grandfather. He was a very special person to my brother and I. He came into our lives when we lived in Upper Marlboro and married my Grandmother Mary. We moved to Calvert County. I have so many.. many fond memories. He took us to church every Sunday. Involved us in the Optimist fishing tournaments, and brought home the prettiest Christmas trees every Christmas. He was a very special person. I also remember going to the County Fair with him. On the weekends we would go out on the bay and fish and crab. We lost touch when he and my grandmother parted their ways, but I will never ever forget the memories I have.
Thank you Raymond, you will remain close in my heart always.
