I was fortunate to share a friendship with Margret for 42 years. During this time, she consistently demonstrated her love for her family, friends and the community. Margaret was also my boss for 5 years. During that time, I learned about Margaret’s meticulous work ethic. I appreciated the opportunity to work with her during my early work life as her mentoring has guided me throughout my career. As the years passed, we visited often and shared many life experiences and her infectious laugh. After Mr. Eversfield passed, we reminisced about the “good ole days”. As Margaret moved to Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, my visits continued as she had wondered out loud if I would travel the distance. I partnered with my friend Ms. Jan and we enjoyed each visit … always agreeing that our time together with Margaret was special. The void I feel from her passing and the sadness of my loss is the joy that Mr. Eversfield has now that his “babydoll” has joined him in heaven. Finally, I would like to send my condolences to Janet and the family who called this wonderful woman “mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, or aunt, great aunt”. Love you Margaret! Rest In Peace! Our sincere condolences to the family. I went to school with Margaret, Betty, Cecila and Catherine. Wayne worked with Betty and Margaret at GEICO, when he came to Maryland from Tennesee. I believe Margaret was in the grade with my brother, Buddy or James Herbert, My sister, Betty was in Betty’s grade and Catherine was in my grade. This is such a shock.
Wayne asked to send condolences to the family, too. We are so sorry to hear this. We lost Buddy in a fire and Doris to
lung cancer. May God bless and comfort you all at this time.

Janet, Debbie and I are shocked and sorry to learn of your Mother’s death. Most of all because I am a Chaplain for the Prince George’s County Fire Department and monthly visited Charlotte Hall Veteran’s Home for several years now for Fire Department members there. I also visit a lady from our church who has been in the dementia ward for years. I had often asked Debbie if she has heard from you as to how your Mother was doing. Margaret was a wonder friend at work and always willing to help me as I learned the skills I needed. God Bless you and the family. God has her in his arms now.
I’m so sorry I did not realize that she was there in Charlotte Hall. I could have visited with her, even if to only hold her hand. My church lady is always thrilled with a hug. Such a simple gesture, but clearly it means a lot to those in that state of health.
