Lyndia Dale Bowen, 83, of Huntingtown passed away December 5, 2022. She was born April 5, 1939, in Martinsburg, WV. Lyndia married James Vernon Bowen on June 18, 1977, and they have lived in Huntingtown since 1979. She was a model and began her career teaching at Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency in Baltimore. She later opened Fair Lady Modeling and specialized in hiring models for makeup and fragrance counters at major department stores in the Baltimore Washington area, her primary contract being with Hecht Company. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Lyndia loved her cats and enjoyed decorating her house and courtyard, gardening, and flying with Vernon, serving as his trusted co-pilot for many years. She also loved ballroom dancing and taught classes with Tulley Liddell throughout Calvert County.

Lyndia is survived by her devoted husband James Vernon Bowen, daughter Melissa Carey of Raton, NM and granddaughter Christa Barnett. Also surviving are stepchildren Lori Bowen of Lusby, Dana Lebow and husband Steven of Huntingtown, step-grandchildren Alexander and Sam Peasley, and daughter-in-law Sheryl Bowen. She was preceded in death by her stepson Scott Bowen and her brother and sister.
