Linda Dorice Miesner

March 3, 1953 – December 7, 2022

Linda Dorice Miesner died peacefully at her home in Lusby, MD, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

She was born on March 3, 1953, in Morris, MN, to the late Richard and Sarah (Lockerman) Brown. She was six years old when her family moved to Calvert County, MD, where she resided all her life.

After graduating from Calvert Senior High School in 1971, Linda began a long career with the U.S. government. She retired in May 2008 as a Security Specialist at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, where she continued working as a contractor for several years.

She married her beloved husband Patrick on July 3, 1990. Together, they raised her two sons, Christopher and Richard Terrell.

Among her many talents, Linda loved gardening, cooking, making pottery and watercolor painting. She was the family’s hairdresser and “craft queen,” creating beautiful art from piles of scrap paper and tiny bits of fabric.

More than anything else, Linda loved her family.

She is survived by her husband Patrick; sons Christopher and Richard (Nissa); grandchildren Enola, Donavan, and Aaron; siblings Fay (Michael) Steele, Ann Edwards, James (Teresa) Brown, Doris (Ed) Hagelin, Timothy Brown, and Joseph Brown.

The family will hold a private family service.

    Dear Ann and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. I know you are all heart broke, keep your good times and memories close. Had many days of fun at Calvert at lunch with Linda. That was many years ago, but good memories.
Prayers of comfort for you all.
