Katherine Marie Knotts

June 26, 1946- February 15, 2023

Katherine Marie Knotts, 76, of Chesapeake Beach passed away February 15, 2023. She was born June 26, 1946 in Buckhannon, WV to Benjamin Harrison and Vernia (Cesaro) Ostrowske. Katherine was raised in Buckhannon and moved to Forestville, MD when she was 18 to pursue a career with the Federal Government. She married David Knotts on May 8, 1965 and they lived in District Heights before moving to Calvert County where they have called home for 35 years. Katherine was a member of the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 Ladies Auxiliary and in her spare time she enjoyed ceramics, reading, and antiquing.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband David Knotts. She is survived by her son Michael Knotts and grandchildren Ariel Jewell and Jacob Knotts, sister Reta Mae Ostrowske and brother Garry Lynn Ostrowske.

A private service will be held in Buckhannon, WV at a later date.
