Enoch Alvin Baker

Enoch Alvin Baker husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend died peacefully Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at home on Sasscer Lane in Upper Marlboro. He was born on January 17, 1931, in the Township of Lower Windsor – Wrightsville, (York County) Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his sister Edith Chitwood, his brother Floyd, and his parents William and Ollie. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth; sons William (Barbara) and James (Donna), sister Alice Counts and grandchildren Andy, Jaime (Jake) Kramer, Luke, Jessie, and Camryn.
A 91-year-old Marine Corps veteran, he was a skilled tradesmen/homebuilder for 20+ years. Additionally, he worked 20 years a master carpenter at the GSA, Executive branch of the federal government serving the historic Washington DC Old Executive Office Building and the White House. Throughout his life Enoch enjoyed working with his hands building and fixing all things and helping family and others with their projects. He enjoyed being outdoors gardening, hunting, fishing, and boating and routing for Redskins football and Orioles baseball sports teams. He was always ready and willing to help and support his family and will be missed and forever remembered.
