Edmund Wells Morton
February 19, 1935- June 18, 2020

Edmund Morton was born in Washington DC on February 19, 1935 and died at home in Deale, MD. on June 18, 2020 in the early morning hours. Ed left behind a rather large family of 6 Children, 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren and his wife of 52 years. Ed was an Army Veteran who’s one tour of service put him in Germany at the same time as Elvis Presley. He was a member of the American Legion Post 226 and a former Charter member of the Elks Lodge in Broadneck, MD.
Before his retirement in 1997 from Giant Food Inc. he worked for the Evening Star for approximately 6 years. Ed’s interests were doing Sudoku, reading; and before his health decline, liked working in the yard. He will be sorely missed by his family and our 2 dogs, mostly Taffy who you could always find sitting in his lap day & night.
