Dolores Ann Marinaccio
August 12, 1938 – January 30, 2023
Dolores Ann Marinaccio, 84, of North Beach passed away January 30, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She was born August 12, 1938, in Atlantic City, NJ to Gerardo and Stella (Jaszczak) Ontiveros. Dolores was raised in Washington, DC and lived in DC until marrying Orlando “Orly” Marinaccio on June 16, 1962. Dolores has been a resident on North Beach since September of 2017 and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there.
Dolores was loved by many and touched so many lives through her charity and thoughtfulness. For Dolores, family was her priority and she attended many of her grandchildren’s school concerts and sporting events. Dolores moved to North Beach in 2017 and spent the most recent years as a volunteer for the Ladies of Charity of Calvert County and as a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in North Beach, MD. Prior to moving to North Beach, Dolores lived in her family home in New Carrollton, MD for 54 years where she and Orly raised their family. Dolores was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Landover Hills, MD for over 50 years and served in many capacities such as Prefect of the Sodality, Crew Chief in the Burgundy Room, Host Family for the RCIA Program, Vocation Committee, Bereavement Committee, and Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist. She was a member of the Advisory Council of the Catholic Charities Mount Carmel House, of the Archdiocese of Washington for more than 20 years. She has supported the Forestville Pregnancy Center for many years. She was Dinner Program Coordinator at the Catholic Student Center at the University of Maryland. She was President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Council 2979 and Secretary for the Academy of Notre Dame Alumnae Association in Washington, DC. Dolores was a member of the Red Hat Society, and even an Honorary Redskinette.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Orlando “Orly” Nicolo Marinaccio. She is survived by her children Diana Marie Williams and her husband James, Caren Louise Milliken and her husband Richard, Steven Andrew Marinaccio and his wife Shellie, Cynthia Ann Hangarter and her husband Joseph, and Christine Annette Marinaccio and her fiancé Mike Deschu, grandchildren Brittany Williams and her fiancé Tyler Hanan , Donald James “DJ” Milliken, Scott Milliken, Michelle Wight and her husband Stephen, Madison Bryan and her husband Andrew, Michael Marinaccio, and Clifford, Julia, and Vincent Hangarter, and great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Farah.
