David Joseph Berche, 53, of Lexington Park, MD and formerly of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on March 29, 2016 at MEDSTAR Georgetown University Hospital.

Born February 17, 1963 in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of Robert J. Berche and Claire (Gautreau) Berche.

David graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocation High School in 1981 and from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth in 1985. He was married to Kimberly (Burckle) Berche on March 19, 1988 in Newport, RI. In 1998, David was employed as a Program Manager for NAVAIR, working for the Department of the Navy for a total of thirty five years. He loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

David is survived by his mother, Claire Berche; his wife, Kimberly Berche; his children, Hillary Berche Moyer and her husband Ian Moyer of Pittsburgh, PA, and Madelaine Berche DeBoer and her husband Isaac DeBoer of Durham, NC; his siblings, Paula Roy and her husband Marc Roy of Danbury, CT; and Robert Berche of North Dartmouth, MA. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Berche.
