Daniel “Danny” Decatur Carroll, 81, a longtime resident of Washington, DC passed away April 9, 2023. He was born August 19, 1941 in Bristol, TN to John Henry and Hafford E. (Burnette) Carroll. Danny was raised in Southwest DC and Capital Heights where he graduated from Suitland High School.  He later moved to Bladensburg, MD.  In the late 1960s he moved to Northeast DC and lived on Capitol Hill until moving to his daughter’s home in Huntingtown in 2020. Danny worked in the sales side of the construction field for many years. He lived his life fast and hard. He loved fast cars, hot rods, motorcycles, boats and reading.  Danny loved being with his family, his mother was the most important person to him, and he considered her his Queen.

Danny is survived by daughters Kelli Scott of Huntingtown and Tammy Jo Carroll of North Beach and his beloved son David Scott. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael, Danny, Brandie, David II, Bailey, Austin, and Jackson and great-grandchildren Robby, Jaylen, Londyn, and Phoenix.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at our home in Huntingtown.
