Christine Kaye “Tina” GaNun
August 26, 1964 – June 26, 2022
Christine “Tina” GaNun, 57 of Dunkirk, MD passed away on June 26, 2022 at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL with her husband Stephen by her side.
She was born to the late William and Mary Russ, Aug. 26,1964, in Washington, DC. Tina dedicated her life to her family. After having her children, while raising them, she obtained her GED in PG County. She thought that education was important to a person’s upbringing, and she wanted to set the right example for her children.
Tina married Stephen GaNun on Jan.16, 1993 and together they raised their children in their home in Dunkirk, MD. Tina is survived by her husband of 29 years, Stephen GaNun, children Patrick Aikin (Jessica), Aaron Aikin (Sarah), Andrew Aikin (Elyse), Amanda Moore (Brandon), Travis GaNun (Justine) along with 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her brother Bobby Russ and survived by her brothers Rick Russ and Kevin Russ along with her sisters Karen Bailey and Roseanna Anderson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Tina lived her life for her family. She was always happiest being around her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid cruiser; enjoying any ship that would lead her to pretty beaches and the dolphins. Her favorite pastime was collecting sand from all the beaches she had visited and showing them to her family when she returned. She was happiest when on the ship with family and friends and when swimming with the dolphins. Her love for dolphins went beyond swimming with them. If you ever needed to think of a quick gift idea, anything with a dolphin on it was sure to win her over.

To my sister, Tina.
I cannot even think of my life without you
so I won’t. I know you will be right by our
sides. We will miss you always and love you
more then you ever knew. Fly high my sister❤️ See you in Heaven, Sis
Steve, no one could have cared for Tina like you did. How grateful we are that she had you.❤️And to her kids, her pride and joy
she’s not gone. She’ll always be with you❤️
To the love of my life, Thank You for a wonderful life. I was blessed to have been married to you for 29 years and with you over 30 years. You were my best friend, travel partner, the best Mom and MeMom for our children and grandchildren, any husband could ask for. We always didn’t see eye to eye, but our love for one another was unconditional. I will continue to be strong for you as I know you would want me to be there for our family until I can join you in heaven. We will be together again my love and I will never let you out of my heart. Your Forever Loving Husband, Steve
My sincere condolences…I’m so sorry you left so soon. You were so nice to me and my family and we will miss you. Knowing that you are no longer in pain brings comfort. May God bring your family peace at this difficult time. ♥️
Love,
Becker Family
It will take a very long time, if ever, to adjust to you not being here. It seems we saw you more after we moved to Florida, and we always looked forward to seeing you and Steve when you came to visit. Your husband has been a rock and while I know his heart is broken, he is moving forward to make things perfect for you. I will truly miss you, but I know you are with your family in Heaven.
Heartbroken beyond words. You took me to kindergarten my first day. You were my aunt but being 5 years apart you felt more like an older sister. I’m glad you aren’t in pain anymore. Say hi to Maw Maw, Daddy Bill and Bobby for us! ❤️❤️
To my life long friend.
We grew up together from children to adulthood. I remember the day you came home from the hospital after having Lil Pat. I was at your door before you could hang up the phone! All the fun we had growing up in our wonderful neighborhood, swimming, sun bathing on either the roof of your house or mine. The dare for me to put a stocking over my face and scare your dad! All of those memories will be with me forever, my friend! Rest in peace, dearest Tina. Love, Karen
I love you momma. What I would do for one more dinner or one more FaceTime with you. You were the best mom a boy could ever ask for and ALWAYS had my back no matter what. Thank you for everything you always did for me and even my wife. She was the only other GaNun woman you had on your side! I truly know how you felt all those years with MawMaw and Daddy Bill, but it makes me happier than ever to know you’re with them, and absolutely pain free! That’s the best! We will get through this, just keep on watching over me! I love you momma!
Love your baby,
Travis!
Sending all our prayers to Steve and the family. She was way to young to be gone so soon and will be greatly missed. Life is just not fair sometimes! We hope you all can find peace at this most difficult time.
Lots of Love
Such a kind soul. Loved her family, adored her grandchildren and her dear friends. We had so much fun on cruise’s and trips together. Seeing her swimming with dolphins was a joy.
It’s impossible to comprehend her not being with us. Such a huge loss like a part of us. Tina we love you and will see you again in heaven.
