Charles Wesley Skinner, better know as “Bud”, 68 of Port Republic, Maryland passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home after battling cancer. Bud was born on October 25, 1951 in Mutual, which is now Port Republic. He grew up working on the family farm, where tobacco was the cash crop along with corn, hay and a large vegetable garden. He loved his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew. Bud always had a joke to tell and liked to tell us about movies and shows he had watched on the television. He had sharp eyes like an Eagle and could always find any lost object. Bud loved to whistle and could imitate any bird call.

You were and always will be “My Bubbie”. My Adopted brother. I will miss you greatly. Every year when I see the daffodils bloom I will think of you with much love and cut me some because I know if you were still here with me you would bring them to me yourself. Love Dawn
Sorry to learn of Bud’s passing. I remember Bud and some of his siblings as the first friends my brother, sister and me had on our daily bus rides to and from school back in the 1960’s. Bud was a nice guy and always friendly although quiet. May the family find peace at this time. God Bless! R.I.P. Bud…
Our condolences to the family on Bud’s passing. Lots of fond memories during the summers on the farm of Bud and other cousins and Uncle Bill and Aunt Betty when we were kids. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May Bud rest in peace. God Bless. Bryson and Chris McCool
