Charles Stephen Woodward “Steve”

January 10, 1954- May 28, 2020

Charles Stephen Woodward, “Steve”, 66, of Port Republic, Maryland passed away on May 28, 2020 in Washington DC. He was born on January 10, 1954 in Prince Frederick, Maryland to the late Ralph and Mary Mae Woodward. After graduation from Calvert High School, Steve started working for Calvert Cliff Nuclear Power Plant as an Insulator. He then went on to join the Insulators Union Local 24. Steve loved fishing, camping, hunting for sharks teeth on the beach and playing with his grandson, Hunter.

Steve is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Woodward, daughter Tonya Sombke and grandson Hunter Michael Stoneman. He is also survived by brothers, William and John Woodward and a sister Virginia “Ginger” Cook.

The family will receive friends on Sunday May 31, 2020 from 1-3 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road Port Republic, Maryland. A Graveside service will be held on Monday June 1, 2020, 11 AM at Christ Episcopal Cemetery, 3100 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, Maryland.
