Barbara Alice Mitchell, 57, of Woodbridge, VA passed away June 19, 2021 with her sister by her side. Barbara was born May 24, 1964 in Baltimore, MD to Irma Adelaide Jones and Ralph Chester Mitchell and raised in Chesapeake Beach. Missy was a kind, loving and honest sister, mother and friend to everyone that knew her. She enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, playing slots and riding her scooter. Missy lived life to the fullest. She retired from the Carpenter’s Local 491.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ann and brothers Ralph and Charles.
Surviving are her sister Linda Pennifill of Woodbridge, VA; daughter Brittany Holmes of California, son Brenden Colon of Florida; grandchildren Jaleah and Kaden Colon of Chesapeake Beach, MD; Uncle Lanny Hale of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Aunt Fay Hale of Florida as well as several nieces and nephews.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Missy was a very caring and loving person. My children enjoyed hanging with her at there grandfather’s house. She will certainly be missed.
