A classy lady who was a true servant of Christ.
Dolores’ life was punctuated with humor – she continued to remind me I “fired” all the elderly Pantry volunteers when Covid hit – just days before her passing.
From her perch above the North Beach boardwalk she watched the world go by. If she spotted you down below, she would holler at you to come up and join her if you had the time.
We Ladies of Charity were the recipients of Dolores’ final chapter of service to her church. Dolores was an active member who freely gave of her time and regularly participated in planning how to marry our resources with unmet needs in the community – she dreamt up and initiated the Nursing Home Project we now have serving Calvert County Nursing Center once she could no longer serve as a regular Pantry volunteer.
Family and friends were mainstays in Dolores’ life. Her 80th Birthday Celebration was a public display of just how many people Dolores was important to, and her family’s bedside vigil during her health crises of the past few years is one to be envied by most.
Rest now at peace, dear Dolores. May we be ever reminded of you as one who continued to serve others until God called you home.

I have known Dolores for many years. Our best years were in sodality and when she was prefect.
Dolores always followed Jesus in her care for the poor, wounded, and unloved in society.
God be with her in this next journey. Rest in ones enjoy dear lady.

Although I just recently met Dolores, it felt like I had known her for years. She embraced me and all the caregivers as if we were life-long friends. She was so sweet and funny. It was truly an honor and pleasure to be with her. I know I speak for each of her caregivers as well when I say she was loved by all. Our sympathy to her beautiful children whom I had the pleasure to meet. You can feel Dolores’s love and spirit in each of them.
Rest in peace in the arms of our Lord until we meet again ❤️
Dolores and Orly were longtime members of the community of believers at St. Mary’s Landover Hills. They were a couple who worshiped together, ran Bingo together for many years, and participated in many parish organizations. Orly went home to the Lord many years ago and is now joined by his wife Delores.

I worked with this lovely, caring, sweet, and talented lady at Litton Amecom in College Park, MD. It was a joy working with Dolores… .she brought light and laughter with her presence. Rest in Peace, my friend! My sincere condolences to Dolores’ entire family.. Prayers of peace & Comfort.
I’ve know Dolores for more that forty years. I first met her when I joined the choir at St. Mary’s and her husband Orly was in the choir. Any time something was needed at church she and Orly were there to pitch in. She came to my mother’s funeral and it turned out that they had a plot about four stones down from mom. Her parents were also buried on the other side of their plot so she said to me “Let me introduce you to my parents”. Every time one of us went to visit, we always paid a visit to the other’s family member at the cemetery. Dolores was a lovely and faith centered person. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Rest in Peace my friend.
This lovely, lively, little pistol was our neighbor! We just LOVED her! She had jokes, very funny! Woody and I are very grateful to have gotten to know this precious lady! Rest in Peace my Dear, stay cool! Jen & Woody Payton
We met Orly & Dolores through St. Mary’s choir. One was always made to feel welcome in their presence, so right away were invited into their inner circle. We kept in touch even after Orly passed away because, with Dolores, once a friend, forever a friend. Dolores was a dynamic, loving lady with an open heart for others. She will be sorely missed, but heaven will be just a bit brighter.
I met Dolores back in the late 1980s when her father Gerardo and her mother Stella were in their last days. I buried them from St. Francis Xavier in DC. She was always a loyal friend. I visited in her home in New Carrollton where she lived with Orly. She was always welcoming and kind. We reconnected years later when she moved to Calvert County following Orly’s death. I really enjoyed seeing her at various events. So sorry that I didn’t know she was ill.
She was a dear sweet lady. Always kind and supportive. The real soul of Christian love. She will be missed.
To the family of Dolores, my heartfelt condolences on the loss of such a wonderful person, mother, and friend. I see such a wonderful outpouring of love and thoughts on this page knowing she held such a special place in many hearts! It puts a warm smile on my face knowing she is with us now in the spirit world watching and comforting you Christine and family. Love and peace, Robert Gerke and family

Barbara, what a beautiful tribute to Mom! I couldn’t have said it better myself. She loved St. Anthony’s Parish and the Ladies of Charity. It brought her new life after Dad’s passing, and we will be forever grateful!

Mrs. Marinaccio could easily be described as my Mom’s sister from another mister! We lived on opposite ends of the block, but they were always two peas in a pod!
