William Clyde Schwallenberg, III
July 3, 1959 – July 28, 2024
William Clyde Schwallenberg III better known as “Vincent” was called home in the early hours of July 28th after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.
Vincent was born July 3rd 1959 in Annapolis Maryland to William Clyde Schwallenberg Jr. “Bill” & Alyce Jane Schwallenberg (Wells). His family then moved to Huntingtown ,MD where he grew up farming with his grandparents William Clyde Schwallenberg Sr. “Jack” & Amelia Catherine Schwallenberg (Rupp)
Vincent graduated from Northern High School in 1977. Shortly there after in 1980 Vincent fell deeply in love with the love of his life Paula Helena Schwallenberg (Krell). The two of them went on to build a beautiful life together with a love story like no other. They were blissfully married on August 1st 1981 at Huntingtown United Methodist Church. After moving to St Leonard, MD in 1982 they continued their story by welcoming their first son William Clyde Schwallenberg IV, then their son Timothy Lee Schwallenberg and lastly their daughter Melinda Racheal Kalnoskas (Schwallenberg).
Over the years Vincent worked in multiple job fields, primarily operating heavy equipment as there wasn’t a machine around he couldn’t run. In 2022 he retired as a crane operator, which was something he had long dreamed of.
He also was a unsung creator of everyday things. Vincent was well known for his knowledge of everything. Whether it was using a chainsaw, welding, farming, working on vehicles, hunting, the list continues. He was a magnificent story teller, teacher, and someone who always knew just what to say in each moment. Vincent was a valued God loving man with strong moral compass and heart like no other.
Vincent was and always will be known by many for the strong man he was. With every part of his life and all the moments he had lived. His proudest most cherished one will always be the life he built with his beloved wife Paula, their children and grandchildren.
Vincent is survived by his beloved wife Paula H Schwallenberg and their three children. Son William Clyde Schwallenberg IV “Billy”, wife Lisa, their children William “Jack”, David, Amelia, Leo and Lennon, Son Timothy Lee Schwallenberg , wife Alicia, their children Sophia and Samuel, Daughter Melinda Racheal Kalnoskas “Mindy”, husband Daryl, their children Derek, Ryan, Karley and Lilley. His father William Clyde Schwallenberg Jr, his three sisters Tammy, Yvette, Crystal and multiple nieces and nephews. Vincent is preceded in death by his mother Alyce Jane Schwallenberg (Wells), and his grandparents William Clyde Schwallenberg Sr. “Jack” & Amelia Catherine Schwallenberg (Rupp).

My heart goes out to all of you, dear family. I pray God’s blessing upon you all as you think of Vince and know he is “home” now. As you all enter into this new phase of life; live it to the fullest as Vince would want you to do.
Vince was one of the best human being I had the honor and privilege to learn from and work with. He was always willing to teach those willing to pay attention and learn. My deepest condolences to Billy and the rest of the family for he was truly one of a kind
To the Schwallenberg family and friends.
Our love and prayers go out with you during these trying times. I grew up with the Schwallenbergs and know how close you are to each other. May God comfort and give you strength.

Paula, Billy, Tim and Mindy,
What a surprise to learn about Vince. You all were extremely privileged to have such a loving, kind, gentle man in your life. My memories of him are his laugh, honesty, and willingness to help anyone.
My favorite memory is of a Christmas about 20 years ago, as related to me by Paula. She came home one day and found him sitting in his chair crying. When asked what was wrong, he said read this. It was a letter from Santa Claus, which I had written, with the help of Paula. One of the items in the letter was a mention of his first train set. He told her, I know who wrote this and it still got to me.
This is the kind of man he was. Big as a bear, but as loving as a lab puppy.
I will miss him.
Yvette & Crystal: I am so sorry to hear that your brother Vincent passed away. I never had the pleasure to meet him but I know that being the son of Bill and Alyce and, of course, a brother to the two of you he had to be a wonderful person. Linda Tayman
Our deepest heartfelt condolences to Bill and the entire family. I pray that knowing Vincent is in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and with his dear mother will bring you comfort and strength during this difficult time.
Your Hunting Creek friends, Mike and Bunny Hatfield
Our deepest condolences to Paula, Billy, Yvette, Tammy, Crystal and the entire Schwallenberg family. I loved Vincent and will always remember the hugs he would give me at the gas station in Dunkirk. He was a kind man with a big heart and will be missed.
Dear Paula and Family,
I’m so sorry to hear of Vincent’s passing. It seems so long ago when he worked for Billy. I remember you coming to our house when Lisa was born and brought the cutest Baby’s 1st Christmas ornament. Your son Billy was just a little fellow.
I know how hard it is to lose your best friend, soulmate, the love of your life. The kids losing their father. Unfortunately, Billy passed before our grandsons were born.
It will be hard but find your strength in God and the love you all shared. The love never goes away.
I pray that the Lord will bring you and your family strength, comfort, and joy for the life you all had together.
Love to all,
Jeanine Burkman
