Trinna Jean Miller
November 9, 1935 – September 1, 2022
Trinna Jean Miller, 86, of Solomons passed from this earth on September 1, 2022. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1935 and moved to the Washington suburbs as a child. She was preceded in death by her husband Laurence William Miller “Bill” as well as her sisters Ethel Philip, Evelyn Kibler, and Charlotte Besheur.
Trinna graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Leonardtown, MD in 1953. She received her bachelor’s degree from Maryland University, University College and her master’s degree from Central Michigan University while working for the Federal Government. She retired from the Defense Mapping Agency in 1994. Trinna also worked as an Arthur Murray dance instructor, a flight attendant for North West Airlines, and a reservationist for Allegheny Airlines (US Air).
Trinna has left behind two sons, Laurence W. Miller III of Florida, and Keith L. Miller and his wife Judy of New Jersey. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Justin, Scott, Mark, Rachel, and Sabrina, sister Ruth Rhodes and brother-in-law Henry Kibler, formerly of Maryland and now residents of Mississippi. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Carolyn Tawney of North Carolina.
Trinna resided in Owings, MD from 1974 and attended All Saints Episcopal Church where she was active as a member and past president of the Episcopal Church Women. She also served as president of the Lower Marlboro Town Citizens Association. After retirement, she volunteered some of her time to the Literacy Council of Calvert County and Meals on Wheels.
After retiring from government service, Trinna and husband Bill traveled to several countries in Western Europe. Their favorite destination was Great Britain where they visited Northern England, Scotland, and Southeastern England. After staying in several hotels in different areas of London, they found their favorite where they could walk to many sites such as British Museum, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, and the theater district which gave them the opportunity to see many plays. They also took advantage of the many tours offered to out lying areas to see castles, ruins, and the Roman Bathes.
While visiting family on the Mississippi gulf coast, Trinna enjoyed attending Mardi Gras parades and balls where she participated as an attendant of the Diamondhead Crew Royalty.

Trinna always had a lovely smile and welcoming word for all of us.
I looked forward to seeing her at church as it brightened up Sundays.
Now she is home with Laurence and the angels.
