Tommy Fennell

Tommy Fennell, 65, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Shady Side, MD.
Born in 1958 in Washington, DC., to the late Francis X. and Jeannette G. Fennell. Tommy was raised in Silver Spring and Hyattsville, MD. He graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in 1976. He completed his AA degree from Anne Arundel Community College and a BS from Grand Canyon University.
Previously of Annapolis, Shady Side, MD and Carefree, AZ. Tommy worked as a paralegal, and painting contractor. Tommy enjoyed the outdoors in Arizona, backpacking in the Tonto National Forest.
Survived by daughters Rita Brady (Shawn) and Ashley Wilson (Richard), grandchildren Ethan, Layla, Tilden and Samuel, brothers Michael (Linda), Francis X., Jr. (Susan), Stephen (Stacey) and sister Patricia Doktor (Ed) and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Concussion Legacy Foundation, 361 Newbury Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA, 02115.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 19th, at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd, West River, MD, 20778, at 10AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
There will be a brief burial ceremony at the grave site, followed by a lunch in the Church Hall.
