Thomas Joseph Garrett
February 18, 1960 – October 5, 2015
Thomas J. Garrett, 55, of North Beach, Maryland, died peacefully at Calvert Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 5, 2015.
More than thirty years ago Tommy dove off Uncle Billie’s pier in North Beach and broke his neck. In spite of being a high functioning quadriplegic, he worked for more than fourteen years at McCrone, Inc., followed by another fifteen years at COA, Inc., in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
He enjoyed building boat models, which are currently on display at the Bayside History Museum in North Beach. He really loved his motorcycles and worked on them for years. He liked to fish, but his favorite past-time was watching old Clint Eastwood or John Wayne westerns on the television.
Tommy is survived by his parents Judge Thomas A. Rymer and his mother, Grace M. Rymer. He is also survived by six siblings: Grace Mary Brady, sister; Donald A. Garrett, brother; Robert M. Garrett, brother; John (Michael) Garrett, brother; Nell-Marie Chaney, sister; William F. Garrett, brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
