He was a good cop, a decent guy and I will alway remember his emotional plea to all participants one year at the now-defunct race known as the “Keep Your Colon Rollin’ 5K” to get screened. Thank you Chip, for your service and protection! Rest well.
My heart breaks for you Julie, Ted and the rest of the family. No words can make the pain go away. Chip has done so much for so many. He helped me through my husbands death. Also was right there with and for my son when he had to have a Coloscopy operation and ended up with the bag. He was so good with my son. I will miss you Chipster and the talks. And my hug when I go to the Legion! Please know we are here for you all. Love and prayers.
KAYE AND FAMILY
Chip – I will forever remember you and be grateful for your support and friendship. Terrific guy, great police officer, fun DJ and all around good friend. You will always be a credit to the Calvert Community. Laura
Dear Chip, you were a special one of a kind person. You were always willing to lend a helping hand, and you were so much fun!! You will be missed by many friends, family, and the community. We had a lot of good laughs and I will miss your welcoming heart. My heart aches for Julie and your children and grandchildren. I pray they are comforted by the Lord and strengthened by the beautiful memories they have of you.
Glory be to you my friend, I know you have now found peace and everlasting love from God himself. Heartfelt condolences to Julie and all the kids and grandchildren for I know the hole that will forever remain unfilled by his presence but I pray you fill them with your treasured memories. May you always remember his laughter, his sense of humor and the fight he gave his illness. Chip, you were indeed a good man and I’m forever grateful for our friendship and your seriousness when needed. I’ll be looking for those “I know that was you moments”. Thank you for the memories my friend and until we meet again, hold it all down up there for one day we will all meet our divine glory. God rest your soul and may God bring peace and comfort to all of us as we mourn the loss of physical you.
And Now We Say Goodbye
Great sadness fills our hearts today
as pipes and drums, in slow march play.
A comrade’s fallen by the way,
And now we say goodbye.
This hero to the very end
Was more than just a casual friend,
Who would a stranger’s life defend,
And now we say goodbye
But we shall cherish, all our days,
The character this life portrayed
With sacrifice so freely made,
And now we say goodbye.
The hand salute, o’er Stars and Stripes,
And distant skirl of highland pipes,
Give last farewell with hero’s rights,
And now we say goodbye.
While here on Earth, you gave your best.
Now in the Master’s arms you rest.
T’is by your memory we are blessed.
And now we say goodbye.
