Taffie Len Lutz
July 31, 1962- July 31, 2020

Taffie Len Lutz, 58, of Deale passed away July 31, 2020. She was born July 31, 1962 in Washington, D.C., to Barbara Ann Jones and Chester Leo Curtis. Taffie married Rickie Lutz on November 12, 1977 and they primarily lived in Montgomery County before moving to South County in the mid 1980’s. Taffie’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother and was constantly taking care of her family. From baking desserts to packing her grandchildren’s lunches, Taffie was always there for her family. She had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. Taffie was a strong, independent woman who fought cancer valiantly for a year and a half. She enjoyed baking, lighthouses, the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. “Good Job”
Taffie is survived by her loving husband Rickie Allen Lutz of Deale, sons Rickie A. Lutz, Jr. and wife Shannon of Churchton, Joey N. Lutz and wife Shannon of Yukon, OK, Bobby L. Lutz and wife Tiffany of Pasadena, and Tony M. Lutz and wife Michelle of Chesapeake Beach and grandchildren Trey, Isabel, Drew, Jack, and Charlie. She is also survived by siblings Chester, Michael, Jeffrey, and Angelia, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Lucky and Levi.

This is just so heart breaking. Taffy was such a amazing person and yes she loved her family beyond words. I remember have so many talks with her about so many different things but she made one thing very clear and that’s family is everything. May you Rest In Peace and continue to protect your family as the angel you are. We will miss you!!❤️
Rick our deepest sympathies are with you and your family. Taffie was a beautiful soul who had a heart of gold, she didn’t love one she loved all. She was an amazing second mom to Brittany and kept her in line when she was at your house ( which was all the time). She will be greatly missed by so many. RIP angel fly high as you are and angel!
A woman as unique as her name, she was”one of those people” that was always willing to drop everything to help someone out. She had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever known and she will be dearly missed by family, friends and the community for all of her contributions. Her spirit will most certainly live on through her family as her impact on those she was close with is obvious, you’ll always see a part of Taffie reflected within them.
I know I’m posting this extremely late but I’ve just found out that Taffie is gone . I’ve read some of the comments people have left I will say this she loved her boys and her family. She was my neighbor across the street in Maryland Manor. She was always there for me when I was younger I need someone to talk to she never judged she always listened. Your family is in my prayers, Rest in peace Taffie Patricia Taylor Welch
