Susan Lillian Martin
August 8, 1957 – November 13, 2019
Susan Lillian Martin, 62, of Chesapeake Beach passed away November 13, 2019. She was born August 8, 1957 in Cheverly to John and Lillian (Hale) Ermer. Sue has been a devoted employee at Marlboro Auto Parts in the accounting department since 1982. She loved spending time at the beach, especially Daytona Beach, where she lived for a while, but she made her home in Chesapeake Beach and loved the life she created there. She was the life of the party and loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many and remembered for her generous heart. Sue was always having a good time, so she wouldn’t want you to be sad but to celebrate her life and the good times you had with her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary Wayne Lilly and Michael Anthony Martin. She is survived by children Bobby Lilly and wife Christina of Frankfort, KY, Kimberly Sue Lilly Lager and husband Brian Michael of Frederick, Michael Anthony Martin II, and Melissa Martin, grandchildren Odessa Lilly, KayLee Robinson, Avery and Brynn Lager and Michael Anthony Martin III and a great-granddaughter McKinley Wainscot.

I’ve known Sue over 50 years. I remember when she was just a kid living with her dad and taking care of her grandmother. She had so much responsibly at a very young age but never cried about it. She was a great person and would help anybody. She will be missed.
I will never have the right words to express how heartbroken we are. Almost eight years ago from the first moment you and I met you made my daughter and I feel loved and welcome. You always told me you knew I loved your son and I would be the one that could crack that hard nut I remember laughing and saying he is more like an onion I have to peel back one layer at a time. My life is blessed with Bobby because they often say that when a man loves and respects his Mother that he will always love and respect his wife. Thank you for raising a wonderful man that I call my husband. Your life and love will always be honored in our home. Until we meet again we will carry the love and memories in our hearts. Love you always, Your Daughter In Law – Tina
To Bobby & Kim,
Your mom and I were classmates & friends in high school drama class before she met & married my brother. She was not only a great mother to the two of you, she was a “great & awesome big sister” to my little sister Joann. She was a wonderful member of our family, and I have fond memories of our times together. Especially the Elvis Presley concert in 1977 at the old Capital Centre.
Love,
uncle bill

My deepest and sincere condolences to you Bobby and Kim. My heart breaks for you and I guess selfishly for myself as well. Sue had the biggest heart and loved her family so much. She got me through my teenage years when I had no one else. I was by her side every moment I could be. She meant everything to me. There will not be a day that I don’t think of you and all of the memories we shared. I love you and thank you for being my sister.
Hello….we may not know each other but, I was fortunate enough to know Susan from Jr High school. We were boy and girl friends in 9th grade. So much love and respect we had for each other. She was my first love. Although my family moved and we lost touch Susan made a very positive and lasting impression on what a relationship should be. We only just within the past 2 yrs caught up with one another. Several conversations about our past, children and families. My heart is broken as is all who knew her. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Heaven is a better place now!🧚♂️
