Stephen Lee Forrester, Sr.
March 27, 1950 – April 24, 2024
Stephen Lee Forrester, Sr., age 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 24,2024 in Prince Frederick, Maryland. He was born on March 27, 1950 in Mexia, Texas and was raised by his loving mother Dorothy Buckler and step-father Frank Buckler, whom he considered his dad. He was a graduate of Calvert High School’s class of 1969 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp attending basic training in the summer of ’69. He served from June 1969 until his honorable discharge in June 1972. In November of 1972 he married the love of his life, B.B., and they built quite the life together. He was a union carpenter (Local 132) from 1973 until his retirement in 2017. After retiring he devoted countless hours of volunteer work to Life Church Calvert, helping oversee the building project, other special projects on the facility, as well as groundskeeping and security for the past four years. He will be remembered for his loving and sacrificial hard work, his wisdom and practicality, and for his steadiness and strength.
Steve is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty B. Forrester, his mother, Dorothy Buckler, his sons, Steve Jr (Monica) and Ryan Forrester, and daughter Stacy Davidson (Greg), grandchildren Rebecca, Steve III (Sidney), and Seth Forrester and Avalee Davidson, and great grandson Steve IV. His legacy will live on through them.
A celebration of life will be held on May 4, 11 am, with visitation preceding at 10 am, at Life Church Calvert in Huntingtown, Maryland. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Church Calvert.
