My deepest sympathy to the loving family of Ms. Shirley. It has been my honor and pleasure to have met some of you at Harriet Brown Community Center on Sundays. Ms. Shirley, Mr. IQ, Nicole and Rick as well as those who came to join them made our day and provided a joyful blessing every Sunday they worshipped. Ms. Shirley was a true Angel on Earth and will be sorely missed. My prayers are with you as you make your way through this difficult time.
Sincerely, Kathie
I can only offer my deepest sympathies to Nicole, her husband Rick, and her children Trey and Sophia. Nicole’s mother had an enormous and very positive impact on Calvert County Public Schools. Her contributions on the Board of Education enhanced the education for literally thousands of children. Raising Nicole to be a very fine woman, outstanding educator, and a supportive and exemplary colleague certainly deserves the utmost praise, too. Beyond these gifts, Nicole’s mother bestowed Nicole with parenting skills and loving care that gave us Trey and Sophia. Again, my deepest sympathies go out to the Nicole, her fine husband Rick, and both Trey and Sophia.

Shirley Slusher
The mere mention of your name evokes a smile from all. You touched the lives of countless individuals. You lived a life of integrity. You empowered and educated others and made a big difference in the lives of many through simple acts of service and kindness. Shirley Slusher always had the time to organize, plan and execute anything anyone needed help with and that might include cooking and delivering a home cooked meal. Always offering a helping hand, prayer, wisdom and a kind word. However, the word rest was not in your vocabulary. You leave a legacy that includes not only your family but those you and IQ made feel like family. Shirley Slusher was loved and adored by all, but God loved her even more. There is no wonder God called her up to him to rest in peace. IQ and family we pray that the warmth of love embraces you for a lifetime.
To IQ and Family,
My deepest sympathy, condolences and prayers are extend to you and you family during this bereavement. As I have read from others about her life and helping others, I’m reminded of the good Samaritan in the scripture, who went above and beyond to help others in need. That was Shirley because the life that she lived has spoken for her. May she now rest in peace as she’s gone from labor to reward. God bless and keep you family,
Deepest sympathy, Deacon Jose A. Brown Retired-USSS
Shirley was a wonderful lady. I had known her for 25 years and she was always there for me. Though I only saw her a few times a year it was always a pleasure to see her again. She and IQ sponsored my little league team and helped me through some very tough personal times. My wife and I are truly saddened by her passing and our condolences go out to IQ and family.
