Shirley Catherine Moschetto

Shirley Catherine Moschetto, 78, of Port Republic, Maryland, passed away at her home January 16, 2019. She was born on October 28, 1940 in Schenectady, New York to the late Arthur Cross and Ruth DeCost Cross.
Shirley worked for 35 years as a Registered Nurse in surrounding areas, in many different facilities, before her retirement. She was very athletic, and participated in Competition Roller Skating and Roller Derbies out of Bladensburg. Shirley also was a professional seamstress, making costumes for many local dance companies.
Beloved wife of Louis J. “GiGi” Moschetto, devoted mother of Skeeter “Judy” Murray, Anthony C. Moschetto, the late Louis M. Moschetto, and the late Justine Rae Moschetto. Step mother of Nancy Ann Thompson, grandmother of Jessica Garner, Charles “Wesley” Murray, Brandon Louis Murray, Sierra Renee Murray, Cassandra Jean Murray, Hannah Logan Page Withem, Anthony Louis Clayton Moschetto, Joseph Vincent Moschetto, Joshua Khanna and Lindsey Khanna. Shirley is also survived by her great grandchildren, Eric Edwards, Nina Edwards, Justin Phelps, Raelynn Elaine Murray, Stella Rae Murphy, Logan Dean Withem and her brother William “Bill” Cross.
The family will receive friends on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 11-1 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, Maryland, where services will follow at 1PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Treatment Center, 1331 E. Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124.
