Shelba Jean Morgan, 76, of Lothian passed away January 3, 2022 at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born March 21, 1945 in Princeton, West Virginia to Rujay and Helen (Thornton) Clark, Shelba was raised in Prince George’s county and attended Bladensburg High School. She was married to Wesley C. Morgan, Jr. May 5, 1973 in Landover Hills Baptist Church. They settled in Lothian in 1988. Shelba was an executive secretary with the Maryland State Highway Administration retiring in 2012.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Deale. In her leisure she enjoyed going to yard sales and over the years has amassed a large doll collection.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ronnie, Rujay and Jimmy Clark and Brenda Janzegers, Bonnie Sue Donley and Joyce Swenton. Surviving are her husband Wesley C. Morgan, Jr., sons Wesley C. Morgan, III of Lothian and Erik E. Morgan and his wife Amanda of Chesapeake Beach; sister Linda Henegar of Churchton and brothers Michael Clark and his wife Toni of Front Royal VA, Larry Clark of Waldorf and Dennis Clark of Colmar Manor.
