I have known Sam for many years when we worked together in the County. He was the nicest individual that I could work with not only as a coworker but as a person. Always had positive attitude and never complained about work or politics involving his surroundings. He was the person whom we would go to if we wanted something get done. He was also our favorite tour guide to organize office fishing trips and got excited when his buddies at work accompanied him in such adventures. I will never forget his professionalism, always polite and helpful whenever anyone needed a hand. He will be sorely missed. Even though I left the County two years ago but certain individuals left an everlasting mark in my life and Sam was one such individual. Words are not adequate enough to describe his compassion, kindness and dedication to his fellow men and specially his family. Unfortunately he left us too soon, but his presence will always be felt among us. Please accept my deepest condolences and I wish his loved ones patience during this hard times.
So sad to hear you passed on so early in life I remember all the times on rescue drills of cutting up cars you would always be in the middle of things showing the rookies how to use the tools and how to cut a and b posts and peel back a roof those guys learned a lot from you and you were always patient with them even if they did something the wrong way he would show you a better way to accomplish it rest easy brother
I was so surprised and sorry to hear of Sam’s passing. I had the pleasure of working at the Department of Public Works and Transportation with Sam, as well as living in the same town, and seeing each other outside of work. His dedicated work ethic will never be forgotten, as well as his happy-go-lucky friendly and helping attitude toward others at work, and outside of work. He will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched. Rest easy my friend.

I only met Sam once while visiting his wife Lisa at work;but she has a picture of him on her desk that I believe captures a great deal of what he loved about her, their family and the life that he lived. May the choirs of angels greet him to his heavenly reward.
