Ruth Ann Friedli, 79, “Sissie” of St. Leonard, Maryland passed away peacefully on March 26, 2015 at the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House in Prince Frederick, Maryland. She was born on September 13, 1935 in Washington DC to the late Ruth T. Goldsmith and James Leo Nutwell. Besides her parents, Ruth Ann is also predeceased by a son, Harry Lee DeMarr.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert L. Friedli, devoted mother of Alexander DeSales DeMarr, William Wesley Goldsmith, Paul Leslie Goldsmith, and Lee Howard Goldsmith. Grandmother of 11, she is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, brothers Harry and Tommy and a sister Gracie. Ruth Ann loved being surrounded by her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
The family will receive friends on Sunday March 29, 2015 at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, Maryland from 1-5 PM, where services will be held on Monday March 30, 2015 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Highlands. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Leonard Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.
