Robin Marie Rooney, 47, of Huntingtown passed away April 22, 2015 at Georgetown University Hospital surrounded by family. She was born February 1, 1968 in Washington, D.C. to Francis Theodore and Shirley Anne (Pfeifer) Rooney. Robin was raised in Rogers Heights, MD and graduated from Tall Oaks High School in Bowie. She married Joe Scott, and they lived in Huntingtown and later divorced. Robin was primarily a homemaker and caregiver for her mother. She was an avid Redskins fan, enjoyed boating and loved animals. Robin was very sociable, and loved taking pictures of her family and friends and hosting parties and gathering, especially the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her father Francis “Ted” Rooney, and long time companion John P. Tierney. She is survived by daughter Jennifer F. Spadaro and a son John Michael Tierney both of Chesapeake Beach, her mother Shirley Pfeifer Rooney of Huntingtown, sister Katherine M. Howell of Owings, and good friends Richard “Cliff” Miller of Frederick, Pamela L. Gray of Davidsonville, and “Birf.”
