Robert Edward Beatty, 72, of Lothian passed away November 30, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1952 to Arthur John and Vera Agnes (Proctor) Beatty. Robert worked in lumber yards, as a utility repairman, and in several mechanic shops throughout his life. He later became the grand secretary for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Maryland where he was an active member. During his time with IOOF he volunteered with the Boys Club and enjoyed cooking for various functions, especially the United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth at Forest Lodge where he was responsible for preparing the meals and overseeing the kitchen. Robert was a member of Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church and in his spare time he enjoyed cooking, DIY projects, working with his hands, and remodeling.

Robert is survived by his family in Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Juanita, Thomas, and Arthur Beatty Jr. .
