Richard “Ricky” Shields

Richard Craig “Ricky” Shields, 61, of Lusby, Maryland, passed away on January 2, 2016. He was the son of Warren E. Shields Sr. and the late Gloria P. Shields of Lusby, MD. Ricky was a lifelong resident of Calvert County, a member of American Legion Post 274 of Lusby, MD and a member of the Elks Lodge of Prince Frederick, MD. He enjoyed billiards, football, NASCAR, and spent many hours sketching nature. He is survived by his father, four brothers: Terry (Faye) Shields of Prince Frederick,MD; Todd (Roxanne) Shields of Fruitland Park, FL; Buddy (Bonnie) Shields of Hubert, NC and John (Angie) Shields of St. Leonard, MD as well as seven nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and great nephews. He will be missed by many, spoken of for years to come and thought about forever. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday January 9, 2016 from 10 – 11 AM for a viewing and visitation at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church located at 25 Church St, Prince Frederick, MD 20678. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Ricky to Calvert Hospice and the Epilepsy Foundation in lieu of flowers.
