Richard Dwight Osbourn, Jr.
June 15, 1966 – May 5, 2023
Richard D. Osbourn, Jr. ‘RD’, age 56 of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Huntingtown, MD, passed away after a sudden illness. He was born June 15, 1966 in Annapolis, MD to Richard D. Osbourn, Sr. (Dwight) and Nancy Carol Wood Osbourn.
Richard graduated from Northern High School in 1984 and lived most of his life in Huntingtown, before moving to North Myrtle Beach. He was a master mechanic for over 25 years, mostly with Ford Motor Company where he received numerous certifications and awards. He has been employed as a Charter Boat Captain on Fish Hook III of Fish Hook Charters in North Myrtle Beach since 2018. First and foremost, Richard loved his family. He loved his job, and often sent pictures of “the view from his office” as he called it, while traveling out the Waterway to the Ocean as the sun was rising, for the early morning charters. He was also very proud of the numerous 5-star ratings he received on the Charter fishing reviews.
Richard was married to the former Tina Messina, who preceded him in death. Together they had one child, Brian Richard Osbourn.
Captain Richard is survived by his wife, Tammy Siebert; his son Brian and wife, Katie of Yadkinville, NC; his parents, Dwight and Nancy Osbourn; a brother, Jeffrey D. Osbourn (Kellie), a brother-in-law, Barry Loveless; two nieces, a nephew; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Vicki Marie Osbourn (infant), and just recently, Sondra Sue Loveless.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday June 10, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Rausch Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M.
A Celebration of Life will be held in North Myrtle Beach, SC at a later date with a private interment.

We are so very sorry for your loss, Nancy, Dwight and family. RD was a part of our Myrtle Beach family and we will sorely miss seeing him there. He had a very special connection to my Mom, Ann. She loved him dearly and viewed him as the son she never had.
I hope RD is happy in the great ocean of life , he was a true friend to me and we called each other many times a week , he was a devoted father , and it breaks my heart to hear of his passing , happy fishing ol’ buddy , I will see you soon
Some people come into your life and make a lasting impression. RD is one one of those people for me having known him since I was kid when he worked for my dad. He was kind and always willing to be there when needed. I will always think of him with fondness. My prayers are with the loved ones he left behind. Rest easy, RD. Until we meet again.
I was very sorry to hear that “RD” passed away. I enjoyed hearing his jokes and stories about his fishing trips. It won’t be the same in Myrtle Beach RV Resort without his visits on the deck. I know my mom is going to miss him tremendously. She thought the world of RD and I know he thought the world of her. God bless you RD.
Richard was a true friend and neighbor where in North Myrtle Beach where we both had houses. Richard’s Heart & Smile we’re as Big as the sun. He always made me laugh with his jokes and quick wit. The world definitely lost a Bright slight & sweet soul when Richard left us to home to our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ. He will live in the hearts of those of us he touched with his kindness and he will never forgotten. My most sincerest condolences to his Mother Nancy, Father Dwight, & son Brian. Rest In Peace Dear Friend Until We Meet Again.
