To the Midkaff family, Co. 7, Co.5.
I have know all of you for a long time. Worked along side of you at Co. 7. Could not believe the news that little
Raleigh had received his wing. I can always remember his smile and when ever at the firehouse if there was
anything he could do for you, he never said no and went out of his way sometimes to do whatever he could.
He was a kind & gentle young man. I know his family is heartbroken as they where a Fire Department Family
always serving others and doing things together.
We always ask why? God needed another angel & he will be looking down on all. When the engines & trucks
roll out when the alarm sounds he will be your angel riding with you.
May God richly Bless you all and wrap his arms around you. Little Raleigh will always be with you and all
the wonderful memories.
Dear Lord, I pray for the family’s who have lost their son. I ask that you would fill them with a deep sense of your peace and grace. I ask that you would surround them with your love and hope.
Give them the strength to carry on and to know that they still have a purpose on this earth. Lord, I am asking that each day they would grow stronger in the knowledge of you and how great you truly are.
Lord, on their darkest days be their light. On their loneliest days, be their friend. On their saddest days be their joy. Grant them with hope to be strengthened with power to continue on.
I pray that they would be firmly established in the knowledge of you. I pray that they may be able to comprehend the depth of your love for them. Let that unfathomable love carry them through their darkest days.
Lord, I pray that the family’s would be filled with pleasant and joyful memories of their son. May each day bring a brighter hope of the future. May they grow closer to you through this experience.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
My prayers are with you all thinking back to all the years that I have known this family. Remembering how Helen would tell me stories about how everyone was during.
To the Midkiff family,
You all have my sincere condolences, I never had a chance to meet Raleigh but I know he was a great person, he was not only a mentor to my son Ash, but a roommate & best friend as well! He was loved by Zach like they were brothers! Thank you for raising such a wonderful man. I know he will be greatly missed by many!
May he fly high with the angels!
Sincerely
Marcia Winters (Ash’s mom)
