Phyllis Nadine Ramsey
August 31, 1943- November 8, 2021

Phyllis Ramsey, 78, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on November 8, 2021. She was born August 31, 1943 to Edwin Hightower and Mabel (Stallings) Hightower. Phyllis grew up in West Beach. This is where she met the love of her life, Page Ramsey. She and Page married in 1959 and moved to Prince Frederick. In 1961 she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Lisa.
Phyllis had a long career working at Calvert Bank until she retired in 1999. She and Page bought a Harley Davidson motorcycle soon after. She studied hard and got her motorcycle license. Phyllis loved getting wind therapy and participating in charity poker run fundraisers. During this time she fell in love with a group of guys known as the Maryland Nomads. They all fell in love with her too and she became their adopted Momma. Another passion of hers was volunteering at the Calvert Pines. She loved helping her seniors everyday. While being there she gained so many friends, which she called “My Girls”. They would get together each week for breakfast or lunch. But through it all her partner in crime was Mary Fink. They would drive each other to their appointments, luncheons, or just to get out for a ride.
Phyllis is proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers Freddie and Douglas Hightower, her husband Page Ramsey and niece Shari Hightower Russell.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Meyers and her husband Les, Jr., Grandchildren Morgan Meyers and her husband Justin, Trent Meyers, Amanda Bearns and her husband Chucky, Great Grandson Charlie Bearns, Cousin Barbara Ann, and her many Cabbage Patch kids.
Following the service, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life at the Calvert County Fairgrounds, 140 Calvert Fair Drive, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.

Lisa & Family: I am so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. We worked together when she worked for Prince George’s County Public Schools in the late 70’s and early 80’s. We stayed in touch for several years after but I haven’t seen or talked to her for about 20 years. Phyllis was so much fun to work with – we had lots of good times in the Accounting Office. The wonderful memories of such a sweet lady will remain in your hearts forever and I know you are going to miss her dearly.
Take Care.
I only just met Phyllis in 2015 at the Elks and I absolutely knew she would be a great friend. And as it turned out she became a true friend. I will miss her but she will always be in my heart ♥️ Sending prayers for her and her family 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Lisa, Les and family,
We were saddened to here of your Mom passing but know she is free from pain now. Heaven received another angel and she is reunited with loved ones. Remember to treasure the memories and she will always be with you in your hearts.

To Phyllis family, friends.
May she rest in peace. She was always a breath of fresh air. When her and Mary Fink where together
oh boy, those two. When I would see them out I would tell them if you need me to get you out of jail give
me a call. I pray you all will find peace & remember the wonderful memories.
May God be with you all.
Lisa, I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I know how close you’ve always been and I’m sure you are heartbroken. She was such a ball of fire and full of fun. Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers for you and your family.
Lisa and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Phyllis was the one responsible for me working at PGCPS in 1973. We even rode together for a few years and she was the funniest and most sincere person on earth. Of course she was a great friend to Mom and Dad, and they enjoyed many good tunes together. They will always be the real “Clay Hammond Rd Bunch”, and will be missed beyond words. I know that Paige was waiting at the gates of heaven to welcome her to an eternity of love
