Ruth Dixon
November 17 – Obituary: Penni Cee Meador
It was a blessing to spend time with Penni this past summer. During this time these are some of the things I learned about her: she never stopped loving her husband after his untimely death, she cared so very much about her sons and daughter and longed to spend more time with them, her sisters were important to her and Debbie’s death broke her heart, she loved to make other people happy, she was proud of the life she made for herself by working hard after her husband died, one of the hardest things she had to endure was losing her independence and she thought that with enough determination and support she could regain it even though it was not to be. She set high standards for herself and for others that were hard to live up to. She wanted to be treated in the way that she treated others—and she cared about how others were treated as well. Oh, let’s not forget that she loved key lime pie. Please enjoy some in her memory. I could count on her to smile when. I brought her some from CD Cafe. I am thankful for Hospice of the Chesapeake for bringing her into my life. I will never forget her.
