Paul was one the best men I have ever had in my life from the time I met him almost 30 years ago he has bee a huge part of my life and my family’s life. Paul always looked out for and stepped forward to help in any way he could and seemed to know how to do almost everything. He was my best man when i got married and the one who taught me know what i do and move up in my career. Paul you will always be part of our lives to the end of time I will meet up with you in the future as we are both on the same path for eternity.
Keep looking out for me as you did

I did not know Paul for but a year and a half at Lamberts Cable Splicing, but in that time I enjoyed the time I would see him in the office. The way that he talked about the things he has done or the things he was doing would make you think about life as he did. He would have some very funny stories when holding a conversation with you in the office. He could also be serious and put you in your place if he did not like you, and trust me, he would tell you if he did not like you. Paul will be missed by all that he has met along his lifetime here on Earth. He touches your heart in a way you never thought. I will greatly miss our conversations Paul, I hope you are up there in Heaven rasin’ some hell, just as you would down here with us. RIP
I have had the pleasure and honor to know Paul! Being his neighbor beside him and seeing how hard he worked and loved Mary was a testament to the man he was! Anything you needed help with Paul was there! He never complained and bought humor to the most unique Situations! It was the highlight of my day when I would pull into the house and see those two Mary and Paul on the front porch! Their spot in the afternoons! Or you could find him out on the weekends with his cats that will miss him so much! He was so excited when he built the cats outdoor enclosure showing us his work which you could see everywhere you looked in the backyard from the birdhouses to the bags to keep the carpenter bees away! He always found the extra time to help out others as well! My chickens were getting out there fence and Paul thought of a way to build it higher so that they were safe! He ended up getting a dog gate from a man at work and he built that fence and let me tell you he made sure those chickens would not get out :@) He helped Saphira my daughter get a huge black snake out the coop and came right over after work no questions asked! He explained to her what kind of snake it was and how it wouldn’t hurt her! So she decided to take the bag and release it herself! He has just always been there! Even if it’s just to talk about life or a event that was happening! His stance and silly expressions will always be embedded in my mind and he will be forever missed and I can promise you he will be forever Remembered! I looked up bible verses till one spoke to my heart thinking of Mary and the pain she will forever experience! Paul may not be here in body but the Lord promises us :
“He will swallow
up death forever. Then the Lord God will wipe away the
tears from all faces.”
-Isaiah 25:8
I hope and pray Mary you know we all love you and will be here for you! Continue to read the scripture and fight the good fight!
I had the blessed privilege to work with Paul Bast for the past 3 years at Lambert’s Cable Splicing. He was always such a pleasure to be around and he would always have a good story to tell. Paul would always say “Good Morning Sunshine, “Goodbye Sunshine, see you tomorrow” Believe me, if Paul spoke to you, then you knew he liked you! Paul was a good friend and a hard worker. He would bend over backwards to help anyone. I will miss our morning and afternoon talks about life, your boat, the home in Georgia, your time in the Navy, your cats and how much you adored your wife. I pray for comfort, understanding and wisdom for the family. God is in control and is coming soon. If you do not know the Lord as your personal savior please ask the Lord to come into your heart and save you from this wicked world. You will be dearly missed, Paul.
Mary, We are so sorry to have heard about Paul’s passing. Paul was good guy and a wonderful brother in-law, we will never forget how much he helped us when we needed a hand, We will never forget him, gone way to soon! Rip Paul and may God bless you. Mary, I know Paul will be watching over you always.
