Patricia Ann McGuire
June 21, 1953 – December 8, 2022
Patricia Ann McGuire, beloved wife of Thomas McGuire, daughter of Jack and Betty Lurwick, is survived by her husband, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, her daughter, her two grandsons, and her great grandson, along with her nieces and nephews. Patricia was larger than life itself, she always made you feel as if you were part of her family and people were always filled with the feeling of love and joy when with her no matter the circumstances. Patricia was born in Pottsville, PA where she met, and grew up alongside, the love of her life Thomas McGuire.
Patricia was also born with a hole in her heart and at the age of ten was one of the first children to undergo open heart surgery at Hahnemann Hospital. Overcoming the struggles of living with a hole in her heart, she also overcame her battle with breast cancer. Patricia was a fighter who gave tremendous strength to accomplish everything she wanted to do in life such as starting a family, traveling the world, and bringing out the best in people. Anyone who met Patricia knows the exact feelings she stirred in everyone she met. She may have been born with a hole in her heart but the way her family and friends saw it was that her heart was too big to keep in her chest. She will be missed dearly by all her friends and family, but everyone will forever remember and feel the impact she had on each of their lives. Rest In Peace Patsy, we all love you, and thank you God for allowing an angel to walk among us.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Tom your family. I was shocked and saddened by the news of Patsy’s passing. I will cherish the memories from many years ago at Andrews AFB , Library of Congress and the times we were all together attending special events. May God guide you through these difficult times.
