Norman Franklin Marshall
May 16, 1930 – June 25, 2022
Norman Franklin Marshall, 92, a lifelong resident of Deale peacefully passed away on June 25, 2022, at his home. Norman was born May 16, 1930, in Deale to Mary Edna (Ford) and Bernard “Dukie” Marshall. He was pre-deceased by his son Norman Dale; and is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Lorraine “Sally” (Knopp), one daughter, Dawn Groves of Deale, and two sons, Paul (Sandy) Marshall of Hardeeville, SC and Bruce (Denise) Marshall of Deale, and by three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was a Southern High School (Lothian, MD) graduate of 1948. He served two years in the US Army. He then worked in Annapolis, MD at Annapolis Yacht Yard – Freezer Box Division until he retired.
Norman was well known as a skilled model boat builder. He was a beloved family man, and lifelong member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.
