Nancy Helen Morgan was born July 30, 1938 in Cheverly, Maryland, to Andrew (Sr.) and Lillian Gates. In high school, her family moved to a farm in Calvert County. She graduated from Calvert High School and was wed shortly after. She built a house on that family farm and raised three children. She was a homemaker while the children were growing up. As a second career when her children were grown, she worked for the United States Postal Service. Nancy was known far and wide for her crafting, baking and other domestic talents.

She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Morgan, Sr, her brother Andrew “Guy” Gates, Jr, and her daughter Laurie Morgan.

She is survived by her children Stanley Morgan, Jr. and Linda Morgan; brother Lee Gates; granddaughters Brandy Summerlin, Lauren Combs, and Jennifer Ware; great-grandchildren Thor Summerlin and Saoirse Ware; and friend and neighbor Larry Windsor.

Services and interment private.
