Nancy Anne Bauer

April 5, 1928- December 16, 2020

Nancy Anne Bauer, 92, of Solomons and formerly of Deale and Annapolis, passed away December 16, 2020. She was born April 5, 1928 in Washington, DC and was raised in Westfield, New Jersey. Nancy earned a scholarship to the Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Nancy was primarily a homemaker and Navy wife and spent a lot of time traveling during her husband’s time in the Navy. She moved 32 times and lived in many places all over the world including Indonesia, Italy and Guam. Nancy was a very talented artist and illustrated several nursing textbooks as well as her husband’s celestial navigation book, “The Sextant Handbook”. She was a member of St. James’ Parish in Lothian and in her spare time, enjoyed painting, sailing, nature and reading.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Allan Bauer in 2006. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Bauer of Annapolis and Julie Fox and her husband Joel of Huntingtown, grandchildren Suzanne and Sarah Fox, sister Elizabeth Wheeler of Manhattan and sister-in-law Darlene Marashlian of Annapolis.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date. A private interment will take place at St. James’ Parish.
