Sending condolences to the entire Wood family on this very sad occasion. Mike was always a hard worker, ready to help his friends or neighbors at a moment’s notice. Mike was someone who was loved by many. He will not be forgotten as he will remain in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers. Although he has passed to his forever home too soon, he is now resting peacefully. Theresa Bottner
I am very saddened by the loss of your loved one Mike Wood. Mike was a very knowledgeable truck man and a very hard worker ,dedicated to what he loved and did very well. As a co worker, he did his best to satisfy all aspects of the job and dealt with the public in a very honest and straightforward manner. As a friend, he was priceless, willing to go above and beyond on any interaction. Although we were miles apart, he always was treated as a neighbor and did the same in return. You will be missed and always in our hearts, my friend. Rest in Painless peace Mike in the home of Eternal Life ! Until we meet again ! Our condolences to the entire family . Herb Maney
Prayers and Condolences to his Family. I will always remember the good times we had together at District International trucks and
the surprise visits and talks we had at the Erie branch. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.
Mike was one of those people who could get along with everyone. My memories of Mike are ones of shared laughter while we worked together at District International. My deepest sympathies and my prayers are with your family now and always.
My heartfelt condolences to the family of Mike Wood. Mike was a dedicated employee with the ERIE in his role as a Heavy Equipment Specialist, always had the customer’s best interest forefront on his mind. Mike will definitely be missed but always fondly remembered. God speed, rest in peace.
Mike loved cruising around the bay by boat, car or motorcycle! We had fun in the summer and he loved his kids and parents deeply. As cousins we had fun playing “hide and go seek “ in the tobacco fields, playing monopoly on the cottage porch, crabbing and walking to Padgett’s store for penny candy. We took swimming lessons together at Chesapeake beach and it was a grand childhood together! I will miss him and send sincere sympathy to his loving family members. May we all remember his quick wit and sense of humor as I am sure he is in heaven smiling down on us.
Rest in peace Mike. You will be sorely missed by all who knew you and always fondly remembered as a kind man, dedicated to his family and friends. I will miss our conversations when you would reach out to say hello and talk about the old days at District International. We had much in common. My heart breaks for John and Polly and the entire Wood family. My deepest sympathies to you all for I know how much you will miss him. Be comforted in the knowledge he no longer suffers and will be watching over his loved ones.
I had the pleasure to work with Mike for almost 20 years in the insurance industry. I was a Sr. Supervisor and had to deal directly with Mike on a regular basis. I found him to be professional and hard-working. We never had a disagreement and he always handled any requests in a timely manner. Mike was a very personable individual and talked often of his family. Having grown up on a farm like Mike we discussed farming and he often spoke of his dad and the farm. My sincere condolences to the entire family on your loss . I know Mike will be deeply missed.
My sincere condolences to the entire family of Mike Wood. I first met Mike at an International Truck Dealership over 20 years ago. I and some others who worked for Erie Insurance Company were so impressed with Mike’s personality, expertise, and knowledge of trucks that we recommended him for a position with Erie, which he later accepted. Mike and I became not only coworkers but also personal friends. That friendship grew over the years and extended into our family lives. Mike’s sharp wit kept me laughing as we talked about farm life, hunting, fishing, and crabbing, in addition to heavy equipment. I was shocked and shaken by his passing. Memories linger. Mike will never be forgotten. Prayers and blessing to all of Mike’s family and friends.
The deepest condolences to the Wood family from the Adair family. Mike was a great friend to our parents often pulling them and their 360 mower out of the carnivorous bushes and then keeping their problems a secret. He’s been an unbelievable friend to our sister. Making her laugh and get moving with his dry sarcastic wit. He left this mortal world far too soon.
