Mary Ann Kivett

Mary Ann Kivett (Tardy), 80, of North Beach, Maryland, passed away July 29, 2022. She was born April 19, 1942 to the late Carl R. and Margaret “Dolly” (Landrum) Tardy in Washington, DC. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her sons Michael Joseph Kivett and Cary Kiesel Kivett, grandson Jeremy Michael Kivett and sister JoAnn Tardy. She is survived by son Tony Kivett (Darlene) of St. Leonard, Maryland, daughter Michelle Terczak (Raymond) of Stafford, Virginia, grandchildren Heather Dolan (Sean), Ashley Kivett (Chris), Justin Kivett, Tyler Kivett (Kelly), Zach Terczak, Ryan Kivett (Erin), Jenna Hartley, Kelsey Hartley (Cody), Joshua Kivett (Bethany), Ashley Terczak, Charles Terczak and Kyle Terczak. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Devin, Michaela, Aiden, Camden, Paisley, Addison, Gracie, Grayson, Hunter, Gabby, Caydence and Waylon. She is also survived by her brother Carl “Buzz” Tardy, Jr. (Sandy), and a host of many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She retired from the University of Maryland 4-H Foundation in 2009, was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Branchville Volunteer Fire Company and a Hall of Fame member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association. Her most cherished moments were the times she spent with her family. She was an avid NASCAR race fan and loved going to watch the local weekly races.
Following the Memorial Service for Mary Ann, a reception for family and friends will be held at the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department Reception Hall, 3170 West Ward Road, Dunkirk, MD 20754.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Mary Ann’s name to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Branchville Volunteer Fire Company.
