Our Deepest Sympathy to Martha’s loving family ~ always so kind & friendly when she would visit her Indiana family & loved going to Shipshewana & the Flea market & they would return to MD with a car load !! Love & Hugs to all !
I didn’t know Martha as well as I did her two children, Jessie and Chris, as well as my brother-in-law, Tommy. I also knew Martha’s mother, Margaret, whom I adored. Martha raised two wonderful children who will miss her dearly. RIP, Martha.
Not only was Marti my upstairs neighbor for more than 10 years but she was one of my all time favorite people who loved my dogs as much as her own. I’ll will always cherish her eclectic style, her love for the universe but most importantly the time she gave me while going through my best of times and worst of times. I was literally thinking of her just this morning before coming across the news as I knew she loved my vintage Maryland Football shirt that I came across recently. She was one of one!
I met Marti at the beach many years ago. We became very good friends. She was one of the most positive people I’ve ever met!!! She had the most beautiful caring smile. I moved to n Florida & we lost track of each other but she was NEVER FORGOTTEN. She gave me a little stuffed dog MANY YEARS AGO that still sits on my couch till this day. Rest in Peace Missy Marti🙏❤️
I just got word of Marti’s passing…. So sorry to hear this …. She and I graduated from High School together from High Point HS in 1970….She was in my wedding party back in 1976… lost touch with her as we got to the senior years of age. She was a very vibrant person❤️
Grandma Marti, thank you for loving my husband, my children and me. I will miss our talks about Mother Nature and the world. I’ll look at antiques and celestial relics and continue to think of you. I love you so much, and until we meet again I’ll look at the stars and think of you.
Although it’s been a while since I saw her, I have a lot of good memories of Martha (Chris’s mom) from my childhood. She was my best friend’s mom growing up so I spent a lot of time at their house and around their family. Martha is still to this day one of the nicest most positive people I’ve ever known. She was always smiling and happy. I remember when Chris and I would want to go fishing somewhere far that required a car ride or an adult around she would never say no to us. In fact she would usually make a day of it and come along with us and hang out to make sure we’re all good. She was just happy watching us have a good time and I’ll never forget that. She was genuinely a good spirit. So sorry about her passing, she will be missed and always remembered.

Aunt Martha was truly one of a kind! I always knew her to be very artistic like her parents, and she had a unique flair for dressing, always with pretty earrings and whimsical blouses. Her decorating was equally unique and she loved collecting treasures. Most importantly, I remember Aunt Martha as a very positive and spiritual person. I always thought it was because she lived in such a beautiful place in Florida, but it was simply her nature to be positive, kind and loving to everyone. As a child/teen I have very fond memories of our time in Chincoteague. Boy, did we wait in long lines to get to the beach! I remember those days when Aunt Martha would drive Jessie and Chris around the Wildlife Loop in the yellow van to get them to sleep. She loved the island, the friends, and camping as I did. I got to see Aunt Martha in mid July and she was just beautiful! She had her hair up, like she often wore it, and she gave my son and me a big hug when we were leaving. I cherish that hug and I will miss her dearly. Aunt Martha knew how to love and you always felt her love. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Jessie and Chris and their families. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Love, Jenny and Family
I just heard of Martha’s passing and just felt a loss as though it was my family member as this is how she made you feel. I will never forget her healing caring touch, her encouraging words and her larger than life personality. May she rest in eternal peace, until we meet again🙏🏽
Martha was a valued employee at Memorial Healthcare System, and I enjoyed seeing her both professionally and personally, as she always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face.
Martha always gave the best massages and some great advice at the same time!
Martha will be missed.
May her memory be a blessing to her family and may she rest in peace.
Martha’s legacy will go on forever… she brought a genuine sense of caring to each and every person who crossed her path.
She set a beautiful example for all of us! Hopefully, we will embrace that example and continue to share the same kindness Martha gave us! We remember you Martha with full hearts!

So saddened by the loss of a beautiful soul. I lost track of her this last year as I battled cancer for over a year. Sorry I was unable to say goodbye.
We are so shocked to hear this sad news. Marti was such a nice positive person. We have known her for a long time. May she Rest in Peace with our Lord and Savior. We will miss her.
