The Measure Of A Woman
Not- How did she die?
But-How did she live?
Not-What did she gain?
But-What did she give?
these are the things
that measure the worth
of a woman, as a woman,
regardless of birth.
Not-What was her situation? But-had she a heart?
And- How did she play her God given part?
Was she ever ready with a word of good cheer
To bring back a smile,
to banish a tear?
Not-What was her job?
Not-What was her creed?
But-Has she befriended
those really in need?
Not-What did the sketch in the newspaper say?
But- How many were sorry when she passed away?
These are the things that
measure the worth
of a woman as a woman, regardless of birth.
We, the family wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for the many expressions of love, cards, phone calls, flowers and words of comfort and support during our time of need. A special acknowledgement to her co-workers. May god continue to bless each and every one of you.
A Poem For My Best Friend
Friendship is something to hold onto. But for me that’s not the case.
Cause’ I don’t feel I need to keep something that can’t be erased.
I’m sure of what I have cause with you, I have no doubt..
For what we’ve built, can’t ever fail, it what I care about.
I find it hard to describe this thing we share.
Especially when there’s nothing else that ever could compare.
Others always know that together we will be.
For there can never be another “Marquita(Nina)”
Those two words, know all over might as well be one. Cause’ without a Marquita, there is no Bianca. I’m sorry, it just can’t be done.
For you’re the “U”, and I’m the “S” And forever that will be.
Cause together we make “US” and so YOU COMPLETE ME!!!
