Following a recent accident and surgery, Marilyn “Babe” Phillips, 99, was called home to God on September 27, 2020. She was born in Erie, PA on August 29, 1921 to Harry G. Mayhue and Leona H. Volkman.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Russell B. “Burton” Phillips, Sr., sons Russell B. Phillips, Jr. and Ralph F. Phillips, a great-grandson, and six siblings.

She is survived by her sisters Rowena P. Seigle and Carol A. Coberly, daughter Jeannette M. Krause (Mark), son Charlie B. Phillips, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was a homemaker, Eastern Star member and a member of Friendship Community Baptist Church in Dunkirk. For many years she loved traveling and entering her garden produce, flowers, and baked goods in the county fair. She was an avid gardener and in later years concentrated on her orchids.

Due to the pandemic precautions, the service will be limited to immediate local family.
