Margaret Elizabeth Adams, 72, of Chesapeake Beach and formerly of Annapolis passed away June 13, 2023. She was born April 18, 1951 in Montgomery County to Welby Trueman and Elizabeth Beryl (Newman) Tavenner. Margaret lived in Rockville and moved to Chesapeake Beach at a young age. She graduated from Calvert High School. She then attended North Greenville Junior College in South Carolina and graduated with an associate degree. Margaret married Edward Adams on January 17, 1972 and they lived in Annapolis for many years where she worked as a clerk for Magruder’s and later Giant Food, retiring in August 2019. Margaret was a member of Bayside Baptist Church. Margaret loved to travel with her family, visiting many places throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. She also enjoyed reading, taking pictures, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Edward Stephen Adams. She is survived by her children Edward Frederick “Fred” Adams and his wife Erika of Port Republic and Betty Louise Toole and her husband John of Mechanicsville, grandchildren Emily, Jacob, and Hannah Dalrymple, John “JT” Toole III, Dexter and Kevin Alleyne and Jonathan “JJ” Lankford, Jr., great grandchildren Adelyn Davis and Emma Alleyne, and siblings Charles “Butch” Tavenner, Jerry Tavenner, and John Tavenner.
