Linda Wilkinson Stallings
October 23, 1948- May 29, 2021

Linda Wilkinson Stallings, age 72, of Earleton, FL, passed away at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center, on May 29, 2021, after a year and a half battle with brain cancer.
Linda was born on October 23, 1948, in Calvert County, MD, to Orville Alexander Wilkinson and Linna Colleen Russell. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Orville Alexander Wilkinson, Jr. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Louis Stallings, nephew Christopher Alexander Wilkinson, Davidsonville, MD, and her niece Julie Stallings Watt and nephew Bobby Stallings, both of Owings, MD.
Linda graduated from Calvert Senior High School, Class of 1966, and Averett University in Danville, VA in 1968. She worked for the Personnel Director at the Andrews Air Force Base from 1968-72.
In 1972 Linda and Louis moved to Earleton, FL. After 35 years of service, Linda retired from the University of Florida College of Public Health, as Associate Director for medical/health administration. During her tenure, she worked for Darrell J. Mase, Founder and Dean of the College of Public Health, and Deans Howard Suzuki, Richard Gutekunst, Robert Frank and current Dean, Michael Perri.
Linda loved the outdoors and following her retirement she and Louis enjoyed many trips to Nebraska and Kansas to pheasant hunt. She also enjoyed sporting clays shooting and won three trophies at the U.S. Open Sporting Clays Shooting event.
Linda and Louis lived in the Santa Fe Lake Community surrounded by her “village” of friends and neighbors. She provided care and support for many of her friends and neighbors in their time of need.
Many thanks to the amazing RN’s and CNA’s at Haven Hospice and the care givers from Touching Hearts who did a great job for 11 days with 24/hour care in our home before Linda went to Haven Hospice.
